IAMAS: (Re-)Producing Mothering, Motherwork, and Motherhood

I am a professor at the Department of Communication and at the Graduate Program in Communication of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), in Recife, a city in the Northeast of Brazil.
I am the leader of the Mothering, Media and Childhood Extension Project (@mmi.ufpe).
In my PhD research, I studied Motherhood in Advertising in Sao Paulo and Toronto. My current research interests include the development of public policies to support academic mothers and gender equity in research and science; motherhood, mothering, childhood, social media, digital culture, design thinking and advertising.
